Mailyn Soulfree

Mailyn Soulfree is a singer/songwriter born in Managua, Nicaragua and raised in Miami, Fla. This soulful songbird has been singing since she was a very little girl. While growing up, this fluffy latin diva was influenced by so many different sounds and cultures having grown up moving around a lot listening to genres like Soul, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Latin, boleros, Reggae, Dancehall and more!

Some of her musical influences are Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, La Lupe, Etta James, Celia Cruz, Whitney Houston, Selena, Michael Jackson, just to name a few. Versatility is one of her strengths.

While in high school she auditioned for the New York International Music Festival, and was awarded the opportunity to sing at Madison Square Garden, during the festival's first ever network mix concert for new artists. In 2013 she was crowned "Ultimate Miami Voice" winner in their season two singing competition held at the Magic City Casino. In 2014, she joined the cast of The Cabaret South Beach, and performed regularly in both of their venues. She was a resident artist at Copa Room Miami Beach where she was casted to play the role of Cuban sensation Celia Cruz and also the role of Adele. Additionally, she has appeared at The Hard Rock, the Miami Beach Gay Pride concert, and was a featured soloist at the LGBTQ Gala in honor of Gloria Estefan.

 In 2016 she met and began working with her musical partner Rick Leonard, performing all over South Florida. She learned to master the piano bar scene and  under his mentorship she began to expand her musical repertoire  introducing  the genre of musical theatre and wonderful classics she had never heard.  Mailyn Soulfree is currently a headline artist for Vacaya, an all inclusive LGBTQ cruise line and was a resident artist at the prestigious National Hotel in Miami Beach and also the storied Wilton Manors supper club Tropics Grille.  
After taking  time off for recovery from undergoing Gastric Bypass on Dec of 2023. She is currently on a health journey and continues making a name for herself in the City of Wilton Manors.
